DTCA, founded in 2006, is not-for-profit co-operative support agency, with long experience in working with workers, communities, and co-op enterprises to improve lives and livelihoods.

This is our purpose. We will achieve our purpose through our mission, which is to develop sustainable co-op enterprises and strong participation of trade unions (and those in the broader solidarity economy) and communities by working co-operatively.

We bring people together, and make workers and communities more confident, more co-operative, more capable and ambitious.

DTCA work is even more important now than ever, as people and communities face increasing social and economic crises. DTCA is about working for a co-operative economy and much broader solidarity economy.
We can help change the way the economy is organised so that poverty is reduced, jobs are created, and wealth is shared evenly, while protecting our environment for future generations.

Growing the number of co-op enterprises is vital to achieving this goal. We will draw on existing support resources for DTCA, especially in co-op banking, community-owned stores, housing co-operatives, worker co-ops and agricultural co-operatives.

DTCA has four-member fulltime staff located in the head office supported by network of co-operative technical assistants and experts. We also have sub-offices in all the provinces of the country.
